It's frustrating to go to the closet and find your trousers in a heap on the floor after they've fallen off the hanger, as they are prone to do. Or worse, when you're traveling and and they've slipped off and are amassed at the bottom of the garment bag. Wrinkled trousers don't make a great impression, needless to say. At least at home they have a chance to de-wrinkle after they've been rehung. Best to keep them on their hanger where they belong.
